About myself: I am now a Dickson instructor at the mathematics department at University of Chicago. I moved here in fall 2006. Before coming to Chicago I was at Berkeley where I did my PhD under Prof. Richard Borcherds.

My general interest in mathematics is in representation theory/number theory. In my Dissertation I studied a few complex hyperbolic reflection groups. The most interesting example I have been studying comes from the the Lorentzian lattice L = Hermitian Leech lattice plus a hyperbolic cell. There seems to be a connection between the reflection group of L and the (bi-) monster.
