Required Course specifically for the Mathematics Endorsement:
Math 50600: Methods of Teaching Mathematics Grades 6-8 (Tentative)

Required Course for any Illinois Endorsement:
Math 51300: Early Adolescent Psychology

- Cost: $500; The CMSI Tuition Subsidy will not cover this required course.
All teachers applying for this course will be considered Self-Funded.
SESAME's Algebra Initiative Course
Math 50900: Intro to Algebra (Algebra I)
- Instructor: John Boller

- Class Size: 40
- This course is the first in a series of three for the Algebra Initiative. However, teachers who are seeking
a Mathematics Endorsement can also take this introductory algebra course to fulfill their content
requirement.
