Time to submit proposal
Mentors for DRP Fall 2009-10 — it is time to submit your DRP proposal. You can do so by clicking submit proposal under "mentor tasks" on the right.
A week-by-week target would be great but is not necessary at this stage. The proposal should be an outline of material you reasonably expect, after having met with your mentee, could be covered in a quarter. This will be helpful to both of you to gauge your progress. A particular theorem or set of examples might constitute a good, concrete goal. Listing books and papers you plan to discuss is also recommended. Show the proposal to your mentee, soliciting comments, before submitting it.
Book purchases
Mentors for DRP Fall 2009-10 — the deadline for DRP book receipts is October 30, 2009 (Friday of fifth week). Please send book receipts by email to drp at math in case of electronic receipts, or drop them in the mailbox of any DRP committee member in case of print receipts. If submitting a print receipt, please make a copy before submitting. We promise to reimburse up to $100 of the cost of books purchased (as long as they are mathematics-related or of relevance to the project).
