I will discuss some interesting examples of boundaries of CAT(0) spaces that come from group theory. In particular, we explore the two different topologies on the boundary. The talk will be somewhat introductory, in particular, I plan to discuss three specific examples of groups. Each of these groups gives rise to a 2 dimensional CAT(0) complex on which the group acts geometrically and I would like to discuss the topologies on the boundary of these spaces. Near the end of the talk, I plan to discuss some general theorems (in particular, joint work I have with C. Hruska) and open questions that are related to these examples. This talk will be well suited for graduate students that are interested in Geometric Group Theory!
