For my Ph.D thesis, I studied the Gromov-Witten invariants and its
relation to the Cut-and-Join equation. I showed that the Witten's
conjecture is equivalent to the Cut-and-Join relation on the moduli
space of stable curves. Details can be found in my thesis and also in the following preprints
in arXiv:
Here
is the slides that I used in the Fields Institue on January 2005.
Simple idea about the Witten's conjecture and the Cut-and-Join relation
can be found in these slides which I used
in the talk at the USC seminar. I made a C++ program to compute all
linear Hodge integrals based on the algorithm in the first preprint
above. Although it became quite obsolete now, here
are some examples generated by this program.
